The Client: A Minnesota based company, the Hitching Post Motorsports was founded in 1969 in a small store on University Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota by owner, Rick Rosoff. In his 25 years in the motorsports business, Rick and his team grew the original University Avenue location and eventually added two more locations: one in South St. Paul and one in Hopkins. After nearly 30 years in the business, Rick passed away, and his wife, Sheri Rosoff, continued on at the helm.

The Challenge: Hitching Post had four remote locations connected to a single server and had been experiencing speed and connectivity issues in their network. After trying contract I.T. services for over a year, they were unsuccessful in resolving the performance issues. In addition to the network issues, their phone system were over 15 years old and in need of upgrades. The dated equipment, dislocated voice communications and network performance and configuration issues were crippling the company.

The Deal: The Minnesota VoIP approach was systematic, and straight forward. After meeting with the leadership of the Hitching Post Motorsports, it was decided to first address the network issues. A full evaluation of hardware, software and internet services was done. Configuration and IPS issues were address and where necessary, new systems and services were put in place that could sustain both the network traffic, and the VoIP traffic. The second phase was to roll out the integrated, hosted VoIP services throughout all locations and train staff on the new technology.

The Results: The Hitching Post Motorsports company was able to reduce costs and control future expenditures with the creative fixed pricing plans offered by Minnesota VoIP all while staying well within their budget. With the network issues resolved, consolidated voice communications in place and staff trained it put concerns of IT infrastructure behind them turning focus back to their business.
